Where is the nonfiler portal? Where is GetCTC?
In 2020 and 2021, the IRS "nonfiler portal" or "non-filer tool" allowed people who don't typically file returns to file a simple tax return to claim benefits such as the stimulus checks (Economic Impact Payments) and Child Tax Credit (CTC). Code for America launched a simplified filing portal, called GetCTC, in Fall 2021.
Per IRS rules, these nonfiler portals are currently closed. If you previously filed a simple return to claim your tax benefits, you can try to claim even more money by filing a full return for free with GetYourRefund. Our IRS-certified volunteers can help you file. If you are unable to file a full return, you can sign up to be notified when our new simplified filing service (sometimes referred to as a nonfiler portal) opens in May 2022.
