What is the Recovery Rebate Credit?
The Recovery Rebate Credit (RRC) was a stimulus payment in 2021 (and is also sometimes referred to as the third Economic Impact Payment or EIP3). Since there weren't any stimulus payments issued by the government in 2022 or 2023, you cannot claim RRC/EIP on your 2022 or 2023 tax return.
