Can I still file for stimulus payments?

The deadline to claim all stimulus payments originally issued in 2020 or 2021 has passed and no additional stimulus payments, including Tariff Dividends, have been approved or are available now. We will update GetYourRefund if new information becomes available. 

If you already filed to receive your 2020 or 2021 stimulus and have not received it, you will need to follow a number of steps provided by the IRS. 

First, you can check your transcripts to confirm if you were issued stimulus payments or to track them. Go to irs.gov/transcripts and log in or create an account. Then, go to Record of Account Transcript. Click 2020 or 2021 Record. The first or second page will have the date your refund was issued. If the payments were not issued, the deadline has passed to apply to receive them.

If the paperwork claims payments were issued but you are sure you did not receive it, you’ll need to complete Form 3911 to begin the process to track and potentially reissue your payments.
